Field Trips

Scheduled by reservation on Thursdays & Fridays, Sept. 24 – Oct. 23

It’s school time again! We invite you to bring your classroom to Sissons’ Pumpkin Patch on any Thursday or Friday, September 24 – October 23. The field trip is an educational opportunity for children to learn about the growth cycle of pumpkins, with the program geared toward primary-aged children.

While here, your students will learn about pumpkins, take a hay ride, receive an informational handout, and have playtime. Students can test their navigational skills in the corn maze, exercise their logic skills in our “no right turns” maze, challenge one another on the obstacle course, or check out our pedal karts, straw fort, and of course, the favorite…the slides.

How should I dress when I visit the “Patch?”

Please stay tuned to the weather prior to your visit and plan accordingly with comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing.  Later in the fall, it is a good idea to be prepared with boots, coats, hats, gloves, layers of clothing, etc.

What is our field trip cancellation policy?

If you choose to cancel your field trip due to the weather, please contact us as early as possible. We do ask that you please take into consideration that the weather is ever-changing in October, a day that begins cool and rainy may turn into a beautiful fall day. We will make every effort to reschedule your visit; however, please be aware that space is limited.

Will the Concession be open?

No, our Concession is not open during field trips. You must bring lunch or snacks for your children.

What is included in the admission price?

The general admission price covers education and all of the following attractions: Hay Ride, Corn Maze, Slides, Pedal Karts, Shelled Corn Box, Straw Fort, Obstacle Course, Logic Maze, Bull Hoop Toss, Bubble House, Hamster Wheels, and Balance Board

When it rains, does it get muddy at the “Patch?”

Most walking areas are grass; however, the maze walkway and portions of the slide area are dirt. [Dirt + Water = MUD] Dependent on how long and hard it has rained determines how muddy the conditions will be. So…please plan ahead, watch the weather, and come dressed accordingly if it has rained.
